Many of the world’s most successful creatives tend to wear the same thing day in and day out. Mark Zuckerberg’s known for his gray hoodies, Steve Jobs for his black turtlenecks, and Barack Obama for his monochromatic dark suits.
Why? Well, it’s quite simple, really. A uniform look, so to speak, spares you the trouble of deciding what to wear for the day, and reserves your mental stamina for more important decisions. When I started wearing the same kind of shirts, I felt more “in the zone” and focused. Freed from worrying about how I looked or dressed, I was able to channel my creativity into more productive outlets.
Because at the end of the day, you don’t need fancy, branded clothes to make an impact. All that you need to get ahead, you can find within.
